A Love so Sweet
Now for those of you that know me...I'm a crier. It's just in my blood for some reason. So as I'm sitting there watching the movie on my couch, I'm just crying constantly it seems. But that's just me, I cry at every little thing; when I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I'm frustrated, overwhelmed, worried, bored...you get the idea.
But I'm thinking about their "love" that they have for each other. It's basically all based on faith. It has to be because what's-his-face is the rebel-bad-boy that causes all sorts of trouble and she's the goody-two-shoes preachers-daughter. Who would have ever thought that they would get together?
She saw something in him that was good and he just thought she was a frumpy loser...but eventually fell for her. She was a little more persistant than I would have ever been if someone like him treated me the way that he treated her...but that's not the point.
He listened to her and helped her accomplish her lists of things she wanted to do before she died and she believed in him and pushed him to do all the things that he was capable of doing.
Sweet Sweet. Me personally, that's how I picture the guy that sweeps me off my feet. He's the bad boy that switches to this unbelievable person all because of me. I've shared that with a couple people already. That I want that guy with the edge, but in all seriousness is unnaturally sweet and patient.
In the movie he is considered her "miracle". The one that makes her life worth living and makes her illness barable. She has faith in him when everyone thinks he is going to be a failure his whole life.
Of course there's the happy ending (even though she dies)...they love each other, get married, spend the summer together before she leaves...
Aaauuuu, it's sappy, but sooo good. A mini-fairytale...
If only I could find my little "miracle" that has so much faith in me that it overflows in everything we do. Someone who, as Sensefield says, "loves me for me."

Funk
I had great weekend plans (well, I guess pre-weekend plans) for my mom to come up for a couple nights to hang out. I'm so busy here, that I really don't have much time to go home. Plus, they were watching Peanut for me while I was gone in Colorado and she was going to bring her back to me. Well, too many people were taking off the day she was asking for, so it ends up she can't come up. I'm sad Peanut won't get back here, but I'm even more sad that my mom and I won't get our girls weekend. We haven't done that in a while and I was really looking forward to that.
Because of my "working" all last week in Colorado, I was planning on leaving the office every day at about 2:00 or so, so far I've stayed til 4:30, 3:34, 7:00 and today when I finally leave, I have to come back here for a concert to finish up some responsibilities and then to lock up. Which, I guess I don't mind doing...but that means I had to cancel some previous commitments.
That and I'm pissed at my cell phone bill always being ridiculously expensive and I can't even make phone calls when I go out of state. Do you realize that I've been to four different states this month and I had to keep my cell phone off for all those times so I didn't have to pay the extra fee. It's nonsense.
But Tuesday was a good day. Some friends from high school came into Austin and we hung out. Carrie is getting married in July so we've been keeping in touch pretty good because, of course, I'm in yet another wedding of a friend. I'm not complaining, I Love her a lot...it's just a little reality check that most of my good friends are either married or in a significant relationship and I can't even find time to sit on my couch let alone meet someone. I should complain. Life is good right now. I don't need a boy to make me happy...although I'm sure it wouldn't hurt.
Anyways...we went to eat at the Olive Garden. Now, I'm not a big fan of Italian food, but that's where they wanted to go, so I obliged. Plus, I love their salad. I think I had about 3 1/2 helpings of it. Plus I finished most of my chicken alfredo, plus we each got some pretty delicious (big) frozen beverages. Needless to say...I was stuffed and I slept like a baby that night.
So life has it's good moments and it's frustrating moments.
My younger brother Daniel is taking is first big trip by himself this weekend and I'm so excited for him. He's going to Michigan to visit a friend of his. They met online and she flew down a couple years ago to go to his senior Prom. She's a really awesome girl, so I'm a little jealous that he get to go visit a friend. Plus, I would love to go to Michigan. Ever since I saw Lake Michigan last fall I really want to go back and see it again. It was gorgeous. But I've already taken my trips for now, I should take a little break before I head out on another journey.
I need to save my money because I want to go to Vegas for my birthday, plus I need to plan a trip back to South Carolina sometime this fall to visit my AWESOME friend LAUREN!!!
Enough Enough...there will be more to come.

"Look at her Pinky"
For those of you who do not know, I burned my hands/arms when I was 5.
The story goes a little like this:
It was some holiday, I'm going to go with Memorial Day, but it could have been Labor day. Anyways, the whole family was out at our house. My brother's and my cousin and my mom decided to go for a walk down the road. I couldn't ride a bike, so I was riding on the back of a bike (the little plastic chairs that attach to it) that my 13 year old cousin was riding. We went down a cul-de-sac to explore and my mother left with my younger brother to go back home.
My two older brother's who were 7 and 9 at the time decided it would be cool to make a fire by rubbing sticks together. "That's going to be awesome", I thought to myself. There were tons of sticks and twigs to do this, so all 4 of us went walking around gathering them.
I found THE PERFECT STICK!! It was sitting on a pile of Coals. Little did I know they were burning coals. I reached for it, and as I reached for it...I fell. Right into the burning coals...I SCREAMED bloody murder. My cousin ran to me and pulled me out, because I obviously didn't realize that I needed to do that. I looked at my hands and they were purple with no skin on them. Gross, I know, I can still picture it. Yucky.
My mother, who was a good distance away, heard my screams and began running to where we were. By that time, my cousin had already put me on the back of the bike to take me back to my house. My mother was running towards us, so she "drove" me the rest of the way home. We put my hands under running water, my skin started to just hang off, so I started to pull it all off...bad idea, and then wrapped them in towels and placed them in a bucket of ice. We got to the Wilson County Memorial Hospital, but my burns were so bad that they couldn't do anything for me and so we journeyed up to San Antonio to Santa Rosa's Children's Hospital.
Well it was bad. I ended up having to stay there for 12 days because of all the infections and what not. Because I peeled most of the skin off of my left hand there wasn't much left to grow. I remember it looking like meat loaf...brown and crusty. There was a time when they thought I would need skin graphs...my mother explained that they would have to take skin off of my "rear end" and put it on my hands. I almost cried. I definitely didn't want doctors to see my bottom.
Anyways...I made some friends with the other sick children. They were obviously sicker than I was, but they were fun to play with. And when my family came to visit me they all had to wear masks and scrubs. They couldn't breathe on my hands.
Anyways, back to high school. Because my whole left hand is basically scare tissue and not skin, I can't straighten my pinky
. It's ALWAYS going to be crooked. But I look at my hand and all I can see is scar after scar and scar. I can see ALL of them and I don't like it. Mostly I'm scared of having to take the picture that most people take on their wedding day. The one of just their hands showing off the rings. Yuck.
<--Well, here is what my hand looks like to the human eye. Yes it just looks like a regular hand. But do you see what I mean when I mark all the scars?
To me, they just jump out and they are pretty gross. Of course, being a girl, I can notice everything.

I bring this up because a couple weeks ago I was showing my scars to a lady that I meet with pretty regularly. We were comparing scars and she kept telling me that she could barely see any of my scars. "WHAT? They're huge and all over." She still couldn't see them.
I can see all them the all the way up to my elbow.
It's weird how some people see something one way and another person can see the complete opposite.
At times I have grown to love my scars because it makes me unique and give me character. But at times I just think they're hideous. OK, so hideous is a strong word, but I definitely do not like them at times. Whatever.
I've just learned to live with them because I know they're not going to change anytime soon.
(<-- What I see)
I guess my whole point to this is, just because you can see something wrong with yourself whether it be mental or physical, you may be the only one who sees it.

Two Girls Take a Trip

We arrive in the beautiful city of Columbia and took a great picture of the two of us outside the state capitol...and what do we see flying high in front of this great establishement....

The Confederate flag flying high and proud.
We had enough of that. It was time to venture back north and head into the other Carolina...

Well that's nice...the state welcomed us!!
We dropped out awesome Ford Taurus off at the Winstom-Salem airport. It was pretty dead. Good thing Lauren was there to take care of us.

What a great receptionist she was. Very helpful.
At the airport we read great things on the wall as we awaited the Mayor's arrival. The air was getting fresher and fresher the closer he got. We all had a little nervousness in our stomach. Good thing they have this beverage called RED OAK to help with that.

Red Oak uses only the finest German barley malt, Bavarian hops, and Bavarian yeast.
Enough of that...it was time to have some fun in the Mayor's place while he was out!!

Lauren sat in as the Mayor and thought up some great idea's while in the throne...

I decided it would be more fun if I joined her in the throne for some girl time.

I then thought it would be good to do some thinking of my own. Mostly I thought about how I was supposed to take a picture without cracking up.

It was then on to a more formal atmosphere...well, sort of.

Uh-Oh...what is this? Not good.

And right next to each other? I don't think that's appropriate.
Well this is just a brief glimpse of what happened while we were on our trip.
All in all it was a great time and lots of fun was had!!

The Clever Juices aren't flowing
I celebrated by doing some shopping!! I just got some "lounging" clothes from Old Nave to take on my ski trip. And then I loaded up on pain pills and little soaps at Target. I love buying travel size stuff. It's such a waste of money...but I just love little things. Don't judge me. Georgetown has a new shopping center, so I then just went to a 5 other stores just for the heck of it.
Thursday night is Bible Study night and we met at Chili's and got desert while we did our study. That was a nice little treat...but goodness, eating goodies that late at night doesn't really do much for the stomach. I was a little full and it's hard to relax...whatever.
Friday I got up and did some more shopping. I went to Academy because they have their winter stuff on sail. I got a cute little beanie with snow flakes on it, some cheap hiking boots and a bright green polar fleece. Awesome. I then continued south on I 35 to go to Tinseltown. I've been wanting to see BrokeBack Mountain for quite some time and I finally made my way to see it. It was pretty good. I thought it was a little sad, but it was good. Then a little more chill time back at the Casa. All in all, it was a good day.
Saturday was just as good. More sitting around. But then that evening I got to go Ice Skaing. Now I haven't gone since middle school which is about 12 years. But not to sound cocky or anything...but I'm a rock star when it comes to Ice Skating. Seriously, my kiddo's couldn't keep up with me. I had a blast and am totally ready to do that again. Plus, there was another youth group there from Austin...so after some forcefull intervention by some of my youth and one of their mom's, I made myself go and talk to their leader...Trent. Totally cute, so I was super nervous. We skated a couple laps together and stood at the wall a while. It was nice. Nothing drastic, but I have a hard time going up to good looking people. Plus, now I know another Youth Pastor which is always a good thing when you're in this field.
Today's a busy day too. Pastor is taking staff and volunteers to lunch today!! Yeah, free lunch!! Then I have to go to Round Rock to meet with my insurance agent...at least it'll get me out of the office for a while...
Then tomorrow after work...Lauren is picking me up and we're off on a new crazy adventure!!

Spending Money like I'm Mrs. Trump
Then it's off to N/S Carolina which I'll pretty much be spending money every day for that...but it'll be so worth it. At least we're getting free lodging at every place we're staying...
Although maybe I'll give some pineapple butter as a nice host gift. (If anyone know's a place that sells pineapple butter, let me know. I've checked a few places but haven't had any luck).
Then I'll be back for a week before I leave for COLORADO!!! Where I'll spend money on some very worth it ski lessons because I have never even had any type of ski's on my feet. But I am very excited and ready for the challenge.
So by the end of the month be looking for some awesome picture of all my trips.
But back to reality. There is so much on my mind right now that I just want to spill, but I'm not sure who all read's this thing, so I'll just keep it to myself and wait until I can gossip to Lauren. Lot's of girl stuff that needs to be shared.
Georgetown just got a McAlister's I guess a week or so ago and so I had lunch there today. Delicious. Especially the eye candy that walked in a litte while after we sat down. For some reason, just haveing someone "pretty" to look at always makes the meal taste that much better. Weird.
Peace Out for now.
5 more days!!!

Is a Restraining Order in line?
As I was walking out the church door's to go home for lunch I got a phone call from Kara asking if I wanted to get some lunch with her and her intern. Of course I want to get lunch with her. So we went to the usual place, Logan's in Round Rock. Always a good choice. She has a former youth that is a waiter there so we sat in his section. And then there was this other waiter that looked very familiar. Turns out he is one of my "friends" on myspace. Weird, huh?! So he came and said hello and we chatted for a while. It was pretty neat. He's pretty cute. Then as we were leaving Kara thought it would be a good idea if I would leave my phone number on the receipt. So she, Not I...I would NEVER do that...wrote it down and was like "I'm going to hand it to him as we leave." Oh my gosh I was getting embarrassed. I told her not to because that's just silly, seriously, who does that? Anyways...our waiter makes this huge announcement, when I say huge, I mean yelling it across a couple of tables and into the kitchen: "Hey ___, I think you're getting a number!" Seriously, it was loud. I was even more embarrassed and so I just walked out, I didn't know what to do because by then most of the people in the restaurant were looking at me. I stood in the little waiting area at the front for Kara...she stayed behind and I still don't know what she did. I couldn't believe that happened....
OK, so then I come back to work. I leave at 5:30 like I usually do and there was a note on my windshield. I immediately knew who it was from. We have this guy that joined our church a couple months ago who has schitzophrenia and really creeps me out. He doesn't work, so he hits golf balls in the field by the church EVERY DAY. Well it was a couple of pages long, a little weird, very crude at some places, and just bizarre. I don't know what to think about it. I don't want to find weird letters on my car when I leave. Yuck. I showed Pastor this morning and he just laughed, which really hurt my feelings because I was really offended about the letter. I guess I'll just save it as evidence for now. In case something happens again. But hopefully nothing will.
So all in all, it's been a weird week.
I went to Austin on Monday and had dinner with my cousin. We went to Manny Hatten's, which was pretty good. We talked about our spring break plans and a bunch of other things. Then he was gracious enough to come with me to David's Bridal. I had a bridesmaid dress that came in and I need to get it altered. So...I did. A size 2 is just too huge on my. It looked like a pink monster sneezed on me. But after all of the pins were in I could tell that is was going to look nice on my. Well, it better be nice because alterations alone are costing me $97.00. Can you believe that?! That's almost the full price of the dress. I can't believe how much money I spend on my friend's weddings. I'm beginning to think that I won't even have a wedding party. It'll just be me and my husband up there in front of everyone. That way they can spend more money on our gifts. Just kidding...I have no plans for this day yet...
OK...count down time. 6 more days!!

We've traveled to many places together last year...Miami, Key West, Dallas, Nashville.

I just get a little excited when it comes to taking trips.

Everyone wants to find the lid to my pot...
Wow...being single and working at a church filled with mother's and grandmother's and aunt's can be tiring. There seems to be something VERY appealing about me to these women. I just seem to be the PERFECT person for their son, grandson, or nephew to be with. That winds up being tons of pressure on myself. Of course they think their son/grandson/nephew is this amazing guy and very interesting, which I'm sure he is, but what if I'm just not that interested in him or not attracted to him. Then what? Am I just the snotty girl who thinks no one is good enough for me.
I have had a couple women talk to me about their son's and I even have a lady who works in a mail store in town that randomly get's guys phone number's for me, or gives mine to them. She wants me to finally meet someone.
Well now there is this whole scheme going on to set me up with a guy that goes to church here. Apparently his mother has been thinking/planning this for some time now. She just thinks we would be good together. Now, she is not telling her son any of this because he would be completely embarrassed, and I am not supposed to know anything either, but I have snoops that go around that keep me up to date. Anyways...my lady friend called him and asked if he would be interested in being a male chaperone during my Sunday night devotions with my high school kids. (Yes, we are now pulling my youth into this). So she tells me I have to call him to set this stuff up...Oh my gosh!!!!!
Whatever, so I called him yesterday to see if he was interested in helping out and protecting us poor helpless souls as we sit in our youth room on Sunday night. We only talked for a little while (I don't really know him, so I don't really have anything to say) and then he asked me if I had any plans for that evening. Hello...it's Valentine's day...I'm not going to hang out with someone I don't know on V-Day...Plus I was on my way to the UT vs. Baylor basketball game. (Yes, UT spanked Baylore...go figure).
Anyways...now he's going to come and sit in on my devotion on Sunday night. We'll see how that goes...
On another note...I turned my cell phone ringer off last night because the past few nights I've been getting random phone calls and text messages in the middle of the night and I just wanted to sleep. I woke up this morning and my little red light was flashing...I got a text message and some point in the night. It was Dube. He was my neighbor in college and we became pretty good friends. And I had a huge crush on him because he was the only semi-mature guy that went to our school. Anyways...he told me that he was smoking his last cigarette and that it was time for him to quit that immature habit. What tell me that you ask? I have no clue...but I'm thinking it's because he's secretly in love with me and wants me to know that he's growing up. Not really, but it did get me thinking. Of all the people he could have sent that to, why me...and at 3:00 A.M. for that matter. I mean he's pretty good about keeping me up to date with all his happenings, but for something like that I was just a little curious as to why he had the urge to tell me that.
It doesn't matter...it was just a nice little surprise to get a little message from him.
More good News...I get to go home tomorrow!! Yea, I'm excited. I'll go to San Marcos for a meeting and then head out from there. I need a little time back hom so that should be nice. I called my mom yesterday to tell her that I would be home a day earlier and she said that she and my Dad will be going to the Rodeo that night. Hopefully they'll get me a ticket. I don't really get to go to the Rodeo...mostly by choice, but I think it would be fun. They're going to see the "Stars of Texas". Which includes the following artists: Kevin Fowler, Jack Ingram, Cory Morrow, Charlie Robison and Randy Rogers. I guess that's a good line-up. I've seen Charlie Robison before and I really liked him. And Kyle tells me that I saw Kevin Fowler before with him...but maybe I'm wrong. I don't know. Whatever, it'll just be nice to do something with the 'rents.
Then I'll get a little hang out time with my younger brother Daniel and a Baby Shower for Becca on Saturday...lot's of fun stuff going on the next couple days.
Well, with the good comes the bad. My nightmares are coming back and I'm scared I'm waking up my neighbor because I wake myself up screaming. Weird. For those who don't know, my mom is always tell me that people that work in the ministry have this huge target on their back for the Devil to find us. That is why we have so many struggles and a hard time with decisions and all sorts of stuff. Well with these nightmares that comes it always has to do with "demon"...I guess. I feel them and know that they're around me...Well Sunday night I saw one. Now I could just be going crazy or have a wild imagination while dreaming, but oh my goodness it freaked me out. Upon being ugly, it had these amazing glowing blue eyes that matched it's blue glowing horns. So from a distance if you couldn't see it's face, you could see it's eyes and horns...and it left through my air conditioning vent.
Now I don't tell many people about these occurances, because a) it's a little embarrassing b) people just think I'm over reacting c) it has to all be in my imagination. But they're so real when it happens. I'm the kind of dream where I know whem I'm dream, so in a sense I'm kind of controlling what happens...but I really don't see myself wanting all this to happen. I seem to wake up saying the Lord's Prayer because it's a safety net to me. I feel if the demon hears me saying this, it'll just leave me alone. Sometime's it works and sometimes it takes a while. Weird, I know. Please don't call me crazy. It doesn't happen every night...but it happens regularly. I have a friend who has had similar "experiences" so I don't really feel like I'm just crazy, but I would still like for all this to stop. Sometimes I don't want to go to sleep for fear of what is going to happen during the night. Sometimes I can't breathe, sometimes it shakes me, sometimes it just stares at me...CREEPY...
But I'm thinking if I get it out in the open it should die down because it knows I'm not scared of it. Or maybe I just need a way to release this tention so that I don't release it in my imagination of my dreams...

Practice What You Preach
This past Sunday we read the story of David and Goliath (1 Samuel 17) and how this little boy went up against this HUGE giant of a man. The whole Israeli army had just stood around for 40 days while this Philistine man challenged them. Then this silly little boy stumbles upon the situation and is like..."Sure, I'll fight him. He may have a spear and a shield, but I have God on my side." Simple, huh? Who thinks that way?
We then talked about what the "Goliath's" are in our life...school, friends, jobs, parents, etc. And that if we put our faith and trust in God, we are able to face these battles with no problems. Every Sunday I feel like I'm repeating myself and saying: God is always with you. Put your trust in God and He will take care of you. Something bothering you? Just pray....almost as if I am just a broken record.
But as soon as I have a difficult time, or my job is stressing me out or I'm trying to make a decision about what to do with my life I don't know what to do. How silly is that. I feel like I at least have some kind of answer when my youth come to me...but when I try and ask myself these same questions, I don't know what to do. I guess I know what to do, but it's not always the first thing that pops into my head. But it should be. I want my immediate reaction to a problem to be to pray about it...but somehow that always seems like one of the last things I end up doing. If I call my mom when something is on my mind that is the first thing she ask's me: Did you pray about it?...well, no...actually I didn't pray about it mom, that's why I'm calling you for advise.
I was, and actually still am, the person people go to for relationship advice. Me, of ALL people they choose, me. I can preach my little heart out about how they should act and what they should say and build them up...but there is no way in Hell that I can do the same for me. I really don't like that about me.
I find I have much more strength and courage after a Bible Study or Devotion, but I really wish I had that strength all of the time. That's one thing that really challenges me.
I don't want to be this fake person that tells my high school group to go to God when they have a challenge or a problem if I can't even do it. You know what I mean. This is just weighing on me because I want to be the person who acts out their life the way they show they act out their life. I'm not a bad person, I just think I want to be better about how I handle situations.
There are so many decisions that are coming up in my life with spring break and summer and fall all coming at me, I just want to know that I'll be making the right moves and doing what I need to be doing and what God wants me to be doing.
With all that said:
Happy Single's Awareness Day!!!

that ANNOYING neighbor
This morning a 6:22 A.M. I hear it again...*honk* *honk* *honk*. By this time it's ridiculous because I know I'm not going to go back to sleep, therefore I lost a good hour of sleep this morning. It stops at 6:23. Ahhhh, quiet again.
6:34 A.M...yup...honks and more honks. I wanted to scream. I put my hair in a pony tail and go to the door, I unlock all my dead bolts and open the door...and Yes, you guessed it (hopefully you didn't guess it, but maybe you did)...IT WAS MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!
I was mortified. How embarrassing, how rude, how unexpected. I don't even have a car alarm and this vehicle is going crazy with the flashy lights and the honking horn. I don't know if it was cranky and just telling me that it was cold and wanted a blanket or what. What would make it do that. I don't have an alarm, therefore I don't have a switch or something I can just turn off.
I feel for my neighbor's, especially the one's on the first floor. That's awful to have to hear that in the mornings. I don't want to be that rude neighbor that everyone talks about behind their back. Well, I don't know what to do, but this honking has got to stop. If someone has any suggestions on how to end this Please Please Please pass it my way. I, along with I'm sure all 11 other rooms in my building and the houses across the street would love for my car to behave.
Until next time...

Call me Crazy
Now this wouldn't have been that bad, but I ended up staying out later than I expected. Why was I out late last night you may be thinking? I met with yet ANOTHER guy from the internet. Yes Lauren, I met ASSMAN last night. (I will let you know that "assman" is a reference from a Seinfeld episode). It was a pretty pleasant meeting. We met at Chuy's in Round Rock, had a couple margarita's and some nacho's and talked about our jobs and what we do. So after a couple hours I was about to head out and he was all....I want to keep hanging out with you. I'm such a wimp about saying No. Well actually I said no a couple times but got suckered into doing something else.
We then went to shoot some pool. I won 4 times, he won twice. But it was so obvious that he was losing on purpose because the last two games he was just sinking them like it was no big deal. He said he kept missing the other shots so that we could keep haning out. Whatever.
It was a nice little evening, we got along great...but the whole time I was hanging out with him I kept thinking about the "age" situation... He's 35. Ouch, I know. That's a 12 year age difference. Ridiculous I know.
I kept recalling all the times I told my 29 year old cousin that I didn't think it was a good idea for him to be "talking" with these 20 year old girls. And here I am doing the same thing with someone much more than 9 years older than me.
Eh, I don't know. Plus he wants to hang out again and I told him that would be alright, but right now I just don't want him to get any idea out of this because I don't even know what to think about the whole situation. I was just excited to get out of the house for a while.
So Lauren...we definitely need to get together sometime this week and do something. Gossip about our week and weekend!!

Another Sinking Feeling...
(I guess there is just some underlying stress that I'm unaware of.)
What a weekend. Actually not much happened on Friday and Saturday, I had plans for both days, but things just seemed to fall through. Which is fine, I don't mind sitting around.
I did get to go to San Antonio for the Super Bowl XL which I'm glad I did. I got to see all my college friends that I don't ever get to hang out with. It was nice. It was also different. It's not like it used to be when we hung out in college. I think I'm the only one that feels that way though. They still live pretty close to each other and get to see each other more regularly, so then when I come into the picture I just feel so out of the loop. It's kind of sad. Apparently I've changed a lot since graduating college and have just now realized it.
I've also been doing a lot of baby shopping recently because my best friend from back home will be having a baby girl in April. I already have a box filled with clothes for her and a basket with a blanket, bottles, headbands, pacifiers and a few other things for her. It makes me happy to do that for her because I love that girl so much.
It also came to my attention that another friend from high school is recently pregnant. As excited and overjoyed as I am for them...that defenantly causes part of the sinking feeling. She's just now 21 and has been married to my friend Keith for a little over a year now. So this girl who is younger than me and is married is going to have a baby. I can't help it but have a little feeling of unhappiness to go along with my excitement for them. OK, enough of that.

Compliments
A couple weeks ago I was meeting Kara and her new intern at Logan's for lunch. Of course I get there on time and they're not there. So I sit on the bench in the entrance with my back against the window and the hostess comes up to me and says "Has anyone ever told you how much you look like Jennifer Aniston?". I didn't know what to say, so I said "well, once, but I think they were just messing with me." She continues to say "with the way the sun was hitting your face and your hair I could have sworn that was Jennifer Aniston sitting right there." Now she was a very sweet lady, No, she wasn't delirious or anything, she was very genuine. I just smiled and said thank you very much.
So that just made me smile through out the lunch hour. Mostly because Ms. Aniston is gorgeous and it was nice to be put on that level, even if it was by a lady.
That hasn't been the only celebrity that people have said that I looked like. In high school there were multiple occassions where people would tell me that I look exactly like Elizabeth Shue. I think they were crazy, but I would hear it from different people at different time. It was weird.
Now to me...I personally don't think I look like either one of them, but I will take both of these occurances as compliments.
I didn't really have a point to this post, just that I was thinking about what the lady said last week. Have any of you circle buddies ever been told that you look like a celebrity?

So Sad to Say
No this isn't going to be sad sappy entry. It's just on the mind.
I've been around death more than some people I know. I don't say that to brag or anything, it's just something that I grew up with. I know some people that hadn't gone to a funeral until they were in their 20's. My first funeral must have been with I was 5 or 6...maybe even before that. Just some distant relatives that I went to with my family.
Anyways...it just got me thinking. My next door neighbor died when I was about 7 (maybe younger) he was 21 and had a really bad asthma attack. Then his mother, who so happened to be my godmother died this past November because she was in a wreck with a drunk driver.
I watched my only grandfather die of cancer for a good 5 years. That finally ended when I was in the 8th grade.
Then when high school rolled around I had a friend die every summer I was in high school.
Freshman year it was Garrett, he was drinking and driving.
Sophomore year it was my neighbor Gregory, he was leaving his graduation party and took a turn too fast, hit a tree. (No he wasn't drinking because he had a heart problem).
Junior year it was another neighbor, Brandon, he was buried alive doing construction.
Senior year it was Kevin, he drowned. That year was also my best friends grandmother. (which so happened to be my friends first funeral).
Year after that is was my grandmother who had an enlarged heart. Can you believe that. Dying because your heart is too big. That seems odd to me.
There were a couple more. Jeff, a girl from TLU that I can't remember her name right now, Pedro...
Then last month it was Liz's mom who had a type of cancer.
Anyways...I won't get into all the other funerals I've been to. Plus, most TV shows I watch have some type of murder or patient that is dying. How can you not be around it?
My feelings on death come and go. Sometimes I'm not scared and I think, I could go peacefully right now. Other times I think, I want to live 60 more years so that I can get married and have a family and see what that's all about.
We talked about death in Bible Study a little last week, for more of a comfort. We believe in something after death...Eternal life, God, Angels. For Christians it's almost something to look forward to. Forever is a long time, but it's going to be so great once we're all together.
But what if you don't believe in an after life? I don't know. I had a good friend that I met in Ju.Co. that grew up in a non-Christian household and it made me sad when we talked about religion and faith. He believed in just living a good honest life was good enough and that when you die...that's it's you're gone. Sad.
Yes I think we should all live a good honest life, but what about Jesus. He is our gate we pass through to get to heaven. We need him in our lives. Listen to me being all preachy...that's not like me. I guess this is just my way of "evangelizing" because I'm not good at that in real life.
I don't know, it's just something to think about. We all need to be prepared because we all know that something can happen in a blink of an eye. I just want to comforted and know that I will get to see all my friends and relatives when I leave this earth. I have some family that don't go to church or believe in anything and it just makes me really sad. I'm not saying you have to be a preacher or anything. Just look into it and open your eyes to all the wonderful things God has given us.
I could go on an on but my hands are aching from typing....
Blessings to you all.
"I'll let you in on how I'm feeling
you've got a lot of nerve
you'll get what you deserve
granted this feelings unappealing
I'm bitter, I'll admit
now I've gotta deal with it
just one more thing okay
it so s-sad to say, it's,
so sad to say
what we had has gone away
ya could say its sad
think of what we could have had"

What to Say...
So where to go from here...
I had an awesome weekend. It really was. Friday was my...well, I always shop on Friday's. Not for anything in particular, just to get out of the house. I should have gone grocery shopping because I'm pretty much out of food. Oh well. But anyways...I got to go out Friday night. Yea me! It starts off with a phone call from Kyle saying that him and Brandon are going downtown and inviting me along. If you read between the lines its more of: Brandon and I want to go downtown, will you drive us? Sure. So I call Lauren to meet up with us so that I'll know more people. It was great. We went to a couple of places and we just had a great time. I was just excited to be out of the apartment.
It was kind of funny because a couple of times that night I had mentioned to Lauren that it would be neat if we ran into someone we knew...well, I did. As we were walking back to the car I ran into my oldest brother Cory and our friend Jared. . (Sorry you missed meeting him Lauren). I hadn't seen him since Christmas, so it's always fun to see family. So we chit-chatted for a while, but they had to go home and go to sleep. (On that note, I got a funny picture from Jared of Cory sleeping that night...hee hee)
Anyways...we drove back him and then I went to Whataburger for some taquito's because I was Starving. So I sat on my living room floor and ate both tacos and watched some TV before heading off to bed at 3:00.
Saturday was another amazing day. I got out of bed at about 11:30 and plopped myself down on the couch for pretty much the rest of the day. It was ridiculous. I stayed there, in my pajamas until about 11:00 before heading back to my bed. I think I need more days like that. Just do nothing days.
Then Sunday was pretty laid back. Nothing too crazy. I hung out with Maggie because her parent's are out of state on a vacation. So we went to the mall and then to youth group and had a sleep over that night. There's just something about sleeping in a bed that's not yours. I didn't sleep very well at all last night. I woke up at least 13 times and woke up soooo tired. Anyways...it was a pretty sweet weekend. Now it's back to work...

Grey's
The last line of the show from last night was: "The truth hurts, so we lie"
True True True
That's all there it to it. There's no point in going deeper into it or explaining why. But we lie because we don't want to hurt people's feelings, or make ourselves look bad. Whatever the case may be...we lie because sometimes the truth just hurts. I could say so many stories pertaining to this, but I couldn't just choose a couple. So there it is...if you wonder why you have been lied to over and over again and why you do the same thing to others...
The Truth Hurts, So We Lie.

SNEAKY
She's even gone missing for a while. What if we could do that? Make our way into random places, places where people could never find us? Places where we could go and just not be found for a while.
I think we need places like that. To just give us time to be away from everything and not be bothered. OK, yes, I already live by myself, so is that like "getting away from everything"? Sort of. But I think it's good to not be somewhere that you're always at.
Growing up, I would just go some where on our property: a tree, swing, roof, ground...something.
Now my only place to get away is to drive. The world now is a little scary. It's not like I can just go sit in the park, or take a walk around the neighborhood. As trusting as I am of everyone, I'm a little scared at times. How did the world get this way?
I give off a very strong persona-like no one can touch me. But believe me, I'm all talk. I'm just as scared as the rest of you. Scared of lots of things: the future, strangers, commitment, being attacked, spiders, failing...
When did people become scared? Did people always have all these worries? I just think it would be simple if there was nothing to scare them. Well, Duh! Life shouldn't be scary. Are we the ones scaring ourselves? I feel like I'm just going off on tangents right now. But each question leads you some where else. It's true, life is full of questions.
Life is also full of...living. My neighbor once told me that's all that life asks of us, is to just live it.
How do you live it? How do I live it? I don't know... Be Happy.?!
How do you become happy? Where do you find happiness? I wish I knew.
I can tell myself to look happy and put on a smile...but it feels very fake to me. I can "make" myself happy when I'm around people doing things I love...but even then I feel like I'm putting on a show. I absolutely hate that feeling. I have absolutely no reason to not be happy. Maybe it's just a chemical imbalance...
This is just me venting. I'm not doing this for sympathy, I'm going this because I don't like to actually talk about it.
Back to Reality-
I wonder if I found something to make me happy-would I truly be happy? Who knows. I just don't wan to fake anybody out. I also don't want to fake myself out.
As I sit here writing, I'm thinking- I wanted to share something fun and silly about my rat and here I am complaining about something. That's how my personality is. I seem to be able to complain about anything and everything. My apologies to everyone who has had to hear me complain.
Something else that is on my mind. I watched Friday night as Eminem got married. How sad did that make me?!! My chances with Mr. Marshall Mathers are now gone. Although, he's divorced Kim once, maybe he'll do it again. But I do think they should stay together, for Hailey's sake. I guess that means that Chris Carraba needs to hurry up and fall in love with me!!
I'm waiting...

And I wonder if, I'm alone in your head."

Futures
I'll be a quarter century old in a couple years, and I look at my life, and I think I've accomplished a good amount of things. Good friends, finished college early, I have a good job, I can support myself. Are things still going to be the same in a couple years. The plan is to be married and have babies sometime before I'm 30...that only gives me 7 years. Then what? Then I have to stay in one place. Not that I move around a lot right now, but I could if I wanted to. I haven't really lived in the same place for a more than a couple years since high school. I like getting to be free and have options. Not that I always jump on them, but it's nice to know they're there.
I want to keep having those options. Move if I ever wanted to. Get a different job if I wanted to. I don't know. It's just going to be weird thinking that soon I'll have to "settle down". I know it will be awesome once I do, but right now it's weird to think about. My parents have lived in the same house for over 27 years, and my dad has been going to his same for job for over 20. It sounds lame, but their happy. I just can't imagine myself doing that. But I guess one day I will. I especially see it after this weekend. I have a friend from college that lives in Round Rock who is my age that I visited. She's been married for a while and already have a 4 month old daughter. My best friend from back home was also there and she's been married a while and 6 months pregnant. I felt so awkward sitting there, we were all grown up. What happened? It's just weird to see it all happening right in front of my face. Sometimes I just don't want to be a grown up and I want someone to take care of me...but then again, I love the independance of not having to worry about anyone but myself....
"I, I always could count on futures
That things would look up, and they look up
Why is it so hard to find balance
Between living decent and the cold and real
Hey now, what is it you think you see?"

My Apologies
I picked it up on January 2nd or 3rd, I can't remember because last week was kind of shady for me.
But as soon as I walked in the apartment office and saw the pile of boxes that had been delivered over the holidays, I saw my special box that was right on top. Becky Moczygemba was scribbled on it. Not really, the hand writing was very nice. It was a nice box, cute in size. (sorry, I just like boxes for some reason).
Those three flights of stairs to my door took a while because I was excited and carrying a bunch of stuff. As soon as I got in the door I put my stuff down and picked up Peanut, she sat in my lap as I opened my box. I had to get up and get some scissors because it was taped pretty good.
A note was the first thing I saw as I opened the box, an artistically drawn reindeer with the words Merry Christmas written above it. "Yea!" I said.
Under the drawing was my gift.
Now this is no ordinary gift. It was something that my brother's and I had tried to do growing up and never really had success.
I'll give you clues:
It's round
It's about 5 or 6 inches in diameter
It can bounce really well, my neighbors underneath me most likely weren't happy that I was bouncing it on my kitchen floor.
It's pretty heavy
OK....I'll tell you what it is.

...it's a rubberband ball.
It was amazing. I had never seen one this big in my life. Peanut enjoyed crawling on it and sniffing around on it. It was very interesting to her.
Thank you Chris for this lovely gift. It has hours of intertainment rolled up in it.

Life in the Fast Lane
I had a nice visit at home with my family. It's always nice to see them and be around people that I love and that love me. That's just an awesome feeling.
Coming back...now that's another story.
Work has made me nervous, uncomfortable, weary, ganged up on and at the same time, I'm excited to be back and start a new year. I have had some uncomfortable situations come up while meeting with my youth. I had some "adults" observe and intervene with my night. It was, to me, really rude and un-called for. I don't like that people just assume they can come up and interupt my group because they want things done a certain way. I was so upset and just steamed Sunday night and it really isn't getting any better.
I have been having meetings non-stop it seems. I'm scared of my meeting tomorrow. It's with my Committee chair and then apparently whoever else just feels like showing up. SCARY. From what I've heard around the way...I should be a little scared. Apparently I'm not pulling enough weight around here. Whatever that means. I've been working like crazy the past couple months. I'm sorry to all you families that don't have children that don't see all the work I do. My evaluation has also been postponed. It should have been last month and I haven't heard any talk of when it is going to be. Yuck...now, that's a scary feeling. Hopefully I'm just analyzing things too much and it's not going to big of a deal. But then again...maybe it's good that I am so that I can prepare myself. What a sinking feeling.
I also mentioned to my boss today about the "lonliness" feeling. I don't think he took me very literally...or maybe it was too literally. He suggested that I go on eHarmony.com to try and find someone in the area to meet. I'm looking into it. Mostly just for grins.
Anyways...things have been a tad stressful the past couple days and I've really been shutting myself out because I just don't really know how to deal with everything that is going on. But I ask you all for prayers of strength for my meeting tomorrow, and just for support for whatever happens.

Spell It Out
Last weekend (Sunday the 1st to be exact) I talked with my mother about my work I did over the Holiday season and she begins to tell me about Liz's mom. Liz is married to one of my Best friends, Keith. Keith's mom and my mom have been best friends since the 8th. Long time family friends. Liz's mom has cancer and the doctors said she was getting better. Turns out, she wasn't. On Sunday my mother told me that it was so bad that they were only giving her a couple WEEKS to live. That's bad. I watched my Grandfather die of cancer, but that took about 6 years for it to actually take him.
My mother continues to tell me that she just HATES the word "CANCER". So much so that as she is talking, her voice is cracking. Now I consider my mother to be a very strong person (and she is) but certain things really get to her. Such as, Cancer. She was 47 when her dad died of Cancer and she was just very upset that a 21 year old girl was having to watch her mother die of it.
Anyways...
Liz's mom died on Wednesday. A couple of weeks turned into three days. How rough is that?
So I had two hours of driving to think about this.
I'm 23, and I don't know what I would do if I had to watch anyone of my parents suffer/die from cancer. That is a scary/horrible/sad thing to have to go through. Then I thought how different I would act if my parents did have cancer. Why is that? Why should we only be good and share our appreciation with them only because they're sick? That is something that we should do daily and not have to think about doing. I love my parents to death, but I can't even tell you the last time that I said "I love you" to either one of them. We just don't do that in my family. We all know that we love each other, but we just don't actually come out and say the words. Isn't that sad?
I think it's terrible. I definitely take for granted that my parents are healthy and there for me whenever I need them. I hate that. I don't know what I would do if I lost one of them right now. I wouldn't be able to function for a long time. I sometimes have a hard enough time as it is now, but I can always call them, or drive down if I need to. I wouldn't be able to do that if they weren't here.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I need to start telling people how I really feel about them. Not just occasionally, but all the time. You never know what is going to happen. I love all you guys out there and I appreciate everything about you.
I hope no one has to go through was Liz is going through right now. Tomorrow is going to be a hard day, just because I am so sad to see someone so young lose a parent. Her children won't have that grandmother, Liz won't have her mother. I could go on and on. I just need to be thankful that I have a healthy and loving family...
God Bless...

What's the word?
I grew up with three brothers and so I've always had many guy friends. Even in college, most of my friends were guys. Which was great, I never had to impress them. There wasn't the intimidation factor and so there was no competition like there is when you're friends with girls. Well this past week at the youth gathering that I helped plan I got to hang out with my old boss. Now we're friends because we're colleagues, and every summer I get to see him at camp and hang out with other former staff. Girls don't really get in on this group for reasons I won't get in to.
Well last week we got to play poker (which is something they usually do anyways). Something came up about playing a certain poker game in the future and I asked if I would get to be a part of it because it's usually a guy thing, and my friend says: "Of course, you're one of the guys".
For being such simple words, they kind of hurt. Why am I always just "one of the guys"? Sometimes it would be nice to be a "Girl" and treated like one.
But back to my lonely story, Last night was just one of those "lonely feeling" nights. I think it's more of a personal thing that needs dealing with because I had stuff I could have been doing-but it's also one of those things where I needed to be alone.
I would just sit on my couch thinking-I need to get out and meet people and so something with my social life, or get a Hobby. Something. But Austin is a little far to go sometimes because there's no social scenes in my area.
So if there are any offers or suggestions to get me out....lay 'em on me.

TOO MUCH...
- Went home for Christmas. Got to hang out with all of my family. Didn't really get to run into any old friends, but just as well. Didn't get much sleep because I now live in the living room when I go home.
- My uncle tries to set me up with a 37 year old friend of his brother's. I say a big NO to that one.
- Got to see the Polar Express for the first time...in 3-D at the Imax no less and it was awesome!!
- Went to my first Fondu party. YUM!!
- Left home the day after Christmas to go to the Senior High Gathering.
- Got an incredibly rude "yelling" from my male sponsor. I'm not talking to him at the moment.
- Had an awesome time staying up until 1:00 every night and waking up at 6:45 every morning to work my 18 hour days. But whatever, I think everything was a huge success.
- Got back home from the gathering and slept for hours.
- Went to Laurens for New Years!!! Good Times! Good Times!
- Bought a bigger TV with my Christmas bonus and have been watching movies for the past couple days.
- Met a college buddy to watch the Notre Dame v. Ohio State game. Bad game, but GREAT company!!
- Now it's off to purchase "Wedding Crasher's" and sit in my apartment and do nothing for the rest of the day!!

When's My Vacation?
I got some good pics, but those will have to come later because I do real film and not digital.
I didn't really get to see any friends from high school while I was down. Things are really different between those friends and I. Mostly it's because they're either married or engaged and just don't do ANYTHING EVER. So I'm stuck at home, which isn't bad. But you know...it would be nice to go out and be social. Thanksgiving was nice and I got to go out, but I hung out with people from another town, and not people I went to HS with. It's whatev.
Now it's off to Kerrville for three nights. Texas lil' slice o' Hot and I have just planned an event for all the high school kiddo's in our Synod. Pray that it all goes well.
I called my planning team partner last night to see if there were any last minute things that I needed to take care of...get this...she changed almost everything for the three days of presentations. So basically, I don't really know what's going on anymore. Which, I guess is OK because then I'm not the one stressing over what is going on. I'll just hang out and eat the candy canes that I'm bringing along. That should be fun.
Things should get back to a more normal pace sometime after the new year. Hopefully, Lauren and I will get to take a trip to relax after all of this stress...Watch out East Coast!!
Alright, my girlies are showing up...I'll get back to you guys in a couple days!!

Christmas is All Around
I feel it in my toes
That Christmas is all around me
And so the feeling grows
It's written on the wind
It's everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it snow"
From one of the greatest movies EVER. I love Love Actually, it's such a great holiday movie, and not even during the holiday's it's a great movie.
I just got back from a Deliciously Free lunch with Lauren. We had to get our 'fix' of each other before we left for the holiday. She shared her Christmas fantasy in a previous blog and it got me thinking of what I would want as a Christmas fantasy.
Besides the basic one of being with all of my family around the dinner table just goofing off and sharing memories I've had a hard time coming up with something. I think when it comes to "Fantasies" I can't divide them into holidays. I have my dreams of what I would like to do with someone that I love, but when it comes to holiday's, I really do just want to be with my family and the rest of the people that I love.
I have fantasies...I'm going to change that word to imagine, because I'm not really liking that word, fantasy. I imagine going to a tropical location and just not doing anything, and I also imagine going to the mountains or to the city and just traveling in general.
I have alway wanted to go to Rockafella (that's my ghetto side) center in New York and seeing the huge tree and seeing all the decorations, but I wouldn't want to be there on Christmas day. I want to be wherever my family is. Unless I could get my whole family up there at once.
Although I think it would be neat to do something like that when I first get married, because then there's no extra baggage (kids) and we could still play it off as part of the honey moon era. I guess I should just quit dreaming because it just gets me hyped up and then I'm back to where I'm at...going home to an empty apartment. Which is great...but just another reminder that I'm still somewhat "alone". Which I'm not too sad about anymore. I need to start taking advantage of the fact that I get to do whatever I want with my life right now. YEA!!!
So what do I want to do with my life right now??....
I have options and I have ideas and I have dreams...it's just following through with one of them and being happy with what I do. I just need to find my rockstar to sweep me off my feet...so if you're out there...I'm here and I'm waiting!!

Parent's Just Don't Understand
I share a lot well, actually, most of my life, with my parents. I like to keep them updated and hear what they have to say about what is going on in my life. But I don't always think I'm really listening and using what they're telling me.
My neighbor invited me over last night, which he does every now and then, to talk about what is going on in our life. We sit either at his table outside or, like last night, at his table inside and have a beer. He's always very curious about what is going on in my life.
Then he tells me about what he had a guy tell him the other day. He said that life gives so much to us. Which means, we should give back to life. How do you give back to life you ask? You LIVE IT. That's all life asks of us, is just to live. Not to just exist or survive...but LIVE.
Am I really living? I don't know if I am or not. I'm happy for the most part, I love where I'm at, but am I actually living? I'm not like my neighbor where I travel all over Mexico and the United States every couple of months. Yes, I have traveled a lot this year, but half of that was work related. How do you live, what is living to us?
Right now, it's just surviving and existing. But I'm also living...
He's also concerned that I'm not dating anyone...what kind of parent woud get concerned if their child wasn't dating anyone? I sat and talked/listened to my neighbor for a good hour before I left. I asked if he talks the same way to his daughter (we're about the same age) and he says that she just tells him to shut-up. I think I would have told my dad that too. So why do we listen and take into account what other parent figures tell us. It's weird. I would have thought that parents would have more pull on the advice and listening...I don't know.
I do love my parents and listen to them ALL the time...but sometimes it's just good to hear from another person.
So to all of you out there...Start LIVING!!!

It's just you and me
I don't think I was expecting to get tired like this. I don't understand how people who actually "work" for a living, survive. I mean, this is only a part of the year, but to actually have to be active all day, every day, for 12 hours...I'd die. Seriously.
But on a happy note, I got to see some great old friends this weekend. One of my old college roommates graduated from Texas Lutheran University this weekend and so a bunch of the old "crew" was there. It was so nice to get to see them. Shout Out to ROSS HOGG...I'm excited that you graduated. I'm excited for Lindsay, but I wasn't really worried about her getting out of school. I even ran into a guy that I went to junior college with and then a lady that goes to my church back home. It was weird, but exciting to see people that I don't ever see.
Tonight is my high school Christmas Party and I'm getting excited. I'm tired, but I really love this group of kiddos. They're amazing. They can definitely be a handful at times, but I love them all.
This week is going to be another busy one, but I hope to actually write something good later on. I'm sure these are boring you all. But I didn't want to neglet this too much.

I'm going Crazy...
Yesterday was seriously just TOO much. Going to a network meeting an hour away, staying there for 4 hours and then coming back. (The meeting went great, there were awesome people there) But then I get back to town to run errands for this event at the end of the month. Finally at about 5:45, we're bushed and go home. Just to get a phone call to do dinner. Which I needed to do. It was with a woman at church who I "spill my soul" to, and I really needed that last night. Only to get home at about 8:15 to get another phone call to go out. I just wanted to lay down, but I knew I would be pissed if I didn't go out. So I went out for a couple hours to do Kareoke. NO, I didn't sing, but I supported everyone who did.
Crap...gotta jet...off to Austin to work....
I hope to catch everyone up at some point in time.
I'm still alive...just not around.

Same Name
I'll start back at the summer after 4th grade, I was at Camp Chrysalis for my first time ever as a camper. (I know take my kiddo's there in the summer...special)
So it was the night of the dance and this one boy in my older brother's cabin asked me to dance to some country song. His name was Matt and he was so cute. Maybe he wasn't, but in 4th grade he was very cute to me. That was my first Matt encounter.
Matt #2 didn't come until college. I dated his suite mate and therefore hung out in the same area as him a lot of times. Well he had an amazing personality that I could just sit and talk with for hours. But he always asked me when we were going to 'make out'...so it got weird. But he's still awesome.
Matt #3 was also in college. This time, he was younger than me. But looked like Chris Carraba, which really drew me to him. We hung out a bit, but then I found out he had a girl friend, and so that wasn't that great.
Matt #4 was right after I graduated college and he was a coach at the university that I went to. He was older and would come over to our house and hit on my roommate and I just thought he was creepy.
Matt #5...Detroit...and that's all I'll say.
Next Boy we come too...TRAVIS.
Travis #1 was in high school and he was my first real kiss. I grew up in a town where you are either a farmer, in band or in athletics. I was neither. He was a runner. Awwww...he was something else.
Travis #2. My best friend had a huge crush on him and finally got to date him. They dated for a while. Then I got a phone call from him one day saying that he broke up with her because he liked me too much. Yuck, I felt gross. Not to mention, my best friend just got dumped.
Travis #3. Was from a different school and dated one of my friends from school and started to call me to hang out. I apologize to any girl that got dumped by a Travis because of me...it's not my fault, and NO, I didn't date either one of them after they broke up with these beautifully amazing girls.
Next Boy...Chris.
Chris #1 worked at my University that I went to, but not while I was there. I met him through other people. We hung out a couple times...he hit on me. He had a girlfriend for a couple years and he still cheated on her with a couple girls. Get a life.
Chris #2....from Wisconsin. Sweet as can be. But again...out of state.
Kris #3...South Carolina. Again, sweet as can be, but out of state.
It's the same names to me over and over. I guess I need to run when I hear some of these names. They really are all great guys. Just need some growing up to do. Well, not all of them, but some. I need to get a new list of names I guess.

A Few Questions
1. How much do I need new tires?
2. How much do I love my Saturn?
3. How do you drive on ice?
Question 1: I need new tires pretty bad. My dad has told me this that past three times I've seen him...which is over a period of a couple of months. I have no traction what so ever...especially when it comes to driving on ice, and as I was staring at the oncoming traffic on I35 it became very clear that I will very soon need new tires if I can't even go straight on a straight road....which brings me to my question number 2...
Question 2: Saturn has these dent resistant panels that it's made of. One of the most cleve inventions EVER. After slipping and sliding all over I35 with no control whatsoever of my vehicle I decided that going into Austin on Wednesday night was a bad idea. Well...exiting was a bad idea...just turning your wheel slightly makes the car go in all sorts of directions. I noticed myself going to the right, not at a slight 2 degree angle that normal cars go when exiting, but full on 90 degree angle headed straight for the grass...but oh no...I kept sliding more to where I couldn't stop at all and guess what stopped me...the guardrail. I head on smashed right into that guardrail. It was in such gracefulness that I was actually thinking to myself "Oh my gosh I'm headed straight for that guardrail, I can't turn my car at all so I'll just brace myself for the worst" BAM!! I hit it. I almost cried it shook me up a little. But since it was 24 degrees outside I said screw it, and I somehow got my car straightened out to get on the access road to turn around. Which wasn't much safer. I slid off of the road a couple times anyways. You seriously have no control whatsoever when it comes to driving on ice. Scariest thing I have ever had to do.
I checked my vehicle when I got home that night...not a scratch on it. I bent the license plate and that was the only damage. Actually I almost sliced it because it's bent really bad, I must have hit it right on the edge of the guardrail. So this week I am very thankful for dent resistand door panels and frames from Saturn because that would have been a bitch to repair.
Question 3: You may be wondering, how should you drive if your back tires start to slide out to the ride side of the vehicle? Well, you should always try and keep your vehicle straight. So turn your wheel to the right so that you keep your vehicle straigh so you keep your vehicle in a smaller area. I called my cousin Brian after I was making circles on the interstate because he was the one I was going to see in Austin. He's a state trooper and was in town for some classes. Well he let me know that you should always try and keep your vehicle going straight no matter what. So if you ever find yourself in that situations...keep that in mind.
"Ohh Boy you looking like you like what you see
Won't you come over check up on it, I'm gone let you work up on it
Ladies let em check up on it, watch it while he check up on it
Dip it, pop it, twork it, stop it, check on me tonight"

Becky's Secret
The Billboard Music awards were on, so I flipped back and forth from other TV shows. I've always had a girl crush on Gwen Stefani...even since like the 8th grade. Anyways...she's totally hot. Her performance of Luxurious....AMAZING. (OK, so I thought she could have used a different hair style, but whatever, I don't judge) I thought it was so much better than the radio version. I now like that song. Plus, any pop star that brings in a rapper (Slim Thug or any one of the sorts) has Gold Stars in my book.
The next thing I watched, because Close to Home was canceled for the night, was the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. All I can say is Oh My Goodness. I want to be a VS model so bad right now. All you have to do is walk about 40 feet on a runway turn around and pray you don't trip. These girls have it made...they sit in a chair, people fix there hair while someone else is applying their make-up and they look gorgeous. I would totally look gorgeous if I had someone do my hair and make-up every day. That is definitely one of my Secret fantasies (if you will) to get to do that at some time in my life. Not necessarily as a career. But I would definitely love to get to walk the runway at some point in time.
OK...back to my dinner...I cooked some amazing chicken friend steak. I don't mean to brag, but I did a hell of a job last night. I even made homemade gravy to put on it. I was so proud of myself. I didn't have any potatoes at home so I had to make instant mashed potatoes...but I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to mashed potatoes.
OK...so why cook last night and eat like a pig? We got our church directories in yesterday. They literally took a year to get back. Seriously, I took my picture last November for it, right before I went home for Thanksgiving. Well, the secretary stopped me as I was leaving and she said I was looking at the directory with my daughter and...you've lost weight. And she's right, I have. I didn't think it was that noticable, but when I went home for Thanksgiving I noticed that I lost about 6 or 7 pounds. Now to many of you that sounds like a very small number...but, I'm a very small person. So that is a large amount for me. And for someone to actually say they've noticed that I've lose weight in my face...Whoah...that was a big shock.
So I'm trying to eat more...I guess that's wrong, maybe eat more healthier and more regularly. Hopefully that will work...because it's pathetic when a size zero is too big. I may sound silly saying this...but please pray that I gain weight...
I mean, I feel good so it's not like I'm worried, but I don't want it to get out of hand.
"This kind of love is getting expensive
We know how to live baby
We're luxurious like Egyptian cotton
We're so rich in love we're rollin' in cashmere
Got it in fifth gear baby
Diamond in the rough is lookin so sparkly
Working so hard every night and day
And now we get the pay back
Trying so hard saving up the paper
Now we get to lay back"

What do you Love?
I remember growing up we ALWAYS had some kind of animal at the house...dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, parakeets, a rabbit, fish. Those were all family pets. Yea, I loved them like anyone loves their pets.
But with Peanut...she's MINE. I got her, I raised her, she knows me and I know her. I love that little sucker so much. I'm sad that I got one that was already "different", but that's what made her special. I love her little head tilt, even though it's a sign of sickness. I think we just have something special. I could be standing in the kitchen doing something and she'll just start at my ankle and climb all the way up to my shoulder just to get a look at what I'm doing. Yes, I have scratch marks from her, but I don't mind.
We really bond. Watching TV on the couch with her just makes me smile...she'll just curl up on my neck and lay there with me. I guess it's just nice to have something around. I'll be sad when she's gone, but she's a champ and she's should be around for a while still.
I just think it's a different kind of love when you're the only one giving it. I don't have to share my love for her with someone else...that sounds so silly, but it's true.
I also love getting stuff in the mail. That is always so much fun. I keep buying stuff online just so that I get mail. It's always a surprise to open the mail box and find something. I got an invitation to TLU's graduation and that was the only thing in the box...it was just "yeah" I got mail. Plus it let's me know that someone was thinking of me.
Maybe love is the wrong word for these things, but it was the only thing I could come up with...
What do you guys love?

Small Town Life
Georgetown is the same way. It has it's annual events, parades and the sorts. Well this past weekend was the "Christmas Stroll". NO ONE TELL THE NEW GIRL WHEN SOMETHING IS GOING ON. I was asked by a few people on Sunday, 'so did you enjoy the stroll'? I'm thinking to myself, What the Hell is the 'stroll'? I knew nothing of this. Apparently it was a great time downtown at the square. Oh well.
I ended up staying in my apartment baking cookies. 5 dozen to be exact. They're the peanut butter cookies with the Hershey Kiss in the middle. One of my favorite holiday cookie. And if I do say so...they're delicious. I love the way the Kiss tastes after it's been cooked. Yum!!
I finally got a lazy weekend and it was great. At times, a little boring, but so worth it because the next 4 weekends are already practically gone. I watched a lot of movies this weekend too: "The Anchorman", "Closer", "Alfie", and "Crash". I love vegging out.
Although the movie "Closer" really just gets me all riled up to where I just don't like boys, or girls for that matter. But I got over it.
Oooh and then yesterday for church I got up about 20 minutes earlier than usual so that I could curl my hair. Oh man I wish I would have taken a picture. I got so many compliments from everyone at church, it was so nice. I must say I looked pretty darn good. I mean...I got dressed up, fixed my hair AND put on make-up. That doesn't happen too often. It was kind of fun. May need to start dressing like a girl a little more often. But who are we kidding, I came to work with a sweater, jeans and tennis shoes this morning. I guess I got over that pretty quickly...
